Ebikes

I’m stuck between choosing to buy the RadRunner Plus -passenger seat should be removable- and the ET Cycle F1000. I’m wondering if either bike option can be serviceable outside of Washington, as in, I can take either bike to any shop if they’re in need of repairs, whether electronics-wise or other.

I like the F1000 for its 1008 watt hour battery and I like the RadRunner Plus for how many different components you can get for it, but the question is, how serviceable are either of these bikes outside of the state of Washington? If either of them run into a problem, how will I fix them? Are they just like normal bikes, or are their components proprietary, kind of like Apple in regards to their electronic components such as the connector for the battery?

I ask this because I don’t want a car and I don’t think I need a car. I do want something that I can repair myself, clean easily, store easily, take care of easily, etcetera, etcetera.

  1. No advice, unfortunately, just hear to see what experienced riders have to say as I’m also looking at the Rad+

Here in my city I do know there’s a Rad Power store where you can take/buy bikes. Maybe you have one in your area?
